So I take it that means there's no possibility of a generic ARM/Linux build being released? I'd love to see a dynamically compiled version of the GP2X release that could then be run on other Linux-based ARM-powered handhelds. My understanding is that the only thing preventing it from running on other ARM/Linux handhelds is the hardware-specific SDL version statically compiled in.

Anyways, I know this is an old post, I was just thinking of this today and went googling.

I was stumbling across the net to find a fix to the annoyingly stupid spikes I did have when I played Team Fortress 2. This solution solved it.

Just an extra note
Your script is great but it is wrong the service name has to be exact for it to work so for me I changed "Wireless Zero Configuration" to "WZCSVC" that way it works.

10/10 for Pete XD

The samples are internally set up at 22050 Hz sample rate, and there's a function which calculates the frequency DirectSound should play them back at based on a 12 entry frequency table (presumably one entry for each of the 12 semitones in an octave) and the contents of the ORG file.

It's quite cryptic and to be honest I just use the frequency which is calculated directly and I haven't been required to actually discern which notes map to which frequencies.

I'm not familiar with the internals of ORG format or XM format music I'm afraid. However, I want to help you out as much as I can.

Hopefully you can get some more details from Pixel. I would recommend solving from the PixTone ORG encoder side as opposed to the Cave Story ORG decoder side.

I'm pretty sure that RavenWorks (the DS Cave Story guy) wrote an ORG decoder for the DS port so that may also be a worthwhile avenue to explore.

I sent you an email in case you want to chat about this.
